DONNA B. GREEN
SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Donna Brown Green, 78, of Iona, peacefully slipped the bands of this earth, October 29, 2005, at the home of her daughter, Sharlene Miles, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born December 15, 1926, at Lincoln, Idaho, to Farimorze Young Brown and Katie Sariah Owen Brown. She grew up and attended schools at Lincoln and Iona.
She married Grady G. (Bud) Green December 24, 1943. They raised their five children in Iona, Osgood, Ririe and Alaska. Her husband preceded her in death on November 12, 1996. She was a mother and homemaker and worked in the food industry. Her career started in 1951 as a cook on the Hayes Ranches at Ririe and Osgood, Idaho, until 1959. From 1962 to 1964, she managed restaurants in Ririe, then from 1972 to 1982 Bairs and Cedrics Cafes in Idaho Falls. Her last five years of working was as a cook at INEL west of Idaho Falls.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She said “If you ever need help ask your Heavenly Father and Savior.” Her greatest joy in her life was her family. She loved visiting with them, being their friend and seeing how she could help them. She loved to give them gifts and had a way of making people feel important. Their lives were so much richer because of her. She was well read and accomplished her dream of traveling to England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and France.
