Donna Garriott

Donna ILean Jenkins Garriott, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 31, 2018, at her home. She was under the care of One Source Hospice.

Donna was born June 10, 1927, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James Floyd Jenkins and ILean Hansen Jenkins. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, finishing at Idaho Falls High School.

On February 20, 1945, she married Clifton Keith Garriott in Dillon, Montana. To this union were born four children, Stephanie, Danny, Bruce, and Jill. Donna and Clifton made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Donna worked as a secretary at the Idaho National Lab.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed horses and was a member of the Bonneville Sheriff’s Posse and the Iona Women’s Posse. She was an original member and secretary for the GVCRA.

Donna is survived by her son, Danny Clifton Garriott of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Bruce (Kenda) Garriott of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jill Ann (Bard) Heileson of Iona, ID; brother Jenks Jenkins; and sister-in-law, Lucille Jenkins; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Keith Garriott, parents, and her infant daughter, Stephanie, her brother Jim Jenkins, and a granddaughter.

A gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
