Donna (Godfrey) Cook

Donna Godfrey Cook, 101, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 24, 2023, at her home.

Donna was born January 30, 1922, in Ucon, Idaho, to Josiah Godfrey and Gunda Boletta Peterson Godfrey. She grew up and attended schools in Ucon, Woodville, and Idaho Falls.

On March 3, 1942, Donna married James Clifford Cook in Las Vegas, Nevada. James and Donna made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they raised their family. Donna was a wonderful wife and mother and took great care of her family.

Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . She loved spending time in the outdoors, especially time spent camping and fishing. She always had a beautiful garden and enjoyed sewing.

Donna is survived by her loving daughter, Shirley Cook of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren Joren (Myori) of San Francisco, Anjanette Cook of Seattle, and Gavin (Joanna) Cook, of Honolulu; and great grandchildren, Ponder and Arlo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Linda Joan Cook, son, Gary Clifford Cook, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Rose Hill Cemetery.
