WHITTAKER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Donalee Spiers Whittaker, 73, of Idaho Falls, died December 9, 2001, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of complications following surgery. She was born December 25, 1927, at St. Anthony, Idaho, to Donald Marriott Spiers and Wanda Lee Spiers. She grew up in Lava Hot Springs, Logan, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls, where she graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She married Nephi Whittaker September 26, 1949, at Pocatello. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved art, puzzles, traveling, her children, and her grandchildren, Nicholas and Dustin Whittaker. She had a wonderful sense of humor that she shared with everyone. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
