Donald Albert Stoner, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Don was born on November 25, 1930, in Helena, Montana, to Albert J. Stoner and Leona Houberg Stoner. Don was raised in Lincoln, Montana, until he attended the Western Military Academy, where he graduated in May of 1948. Shortly after he graduated, he enlisted in the Army. After discharging from the Army, Don enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War, and served until 1954.
On August 13, 1955, he married the love of his life, Beverly Marie Matheson. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Dawn Lee and Daniel Albert.
Don worked for Intermountain Bus Lines as a bus driver for 27 years. He was an active member of Shriners, Masons, and VFW.
Don is survived by his son, Daniel (Patty) Stoner of Idaho Falls, ID; four grandchildren, Trisha (Kyle) Klock, Danielle Green (Wes Feist), Tory Heckrotte, and Julia Heckrotte; three great grandchildren, Keira and Kellen Klock and Jaxsen Green; a brother, James (Betty Ann) Stoner of Billings, MT; numerous cousins and dear friends, Kae Hewison, Patsy Lorello, Judy and David Blaz, and J.J. and Rose Johnston.
Don was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Beverly, and his daughter, Dawn Lee.
Upon his pre-arranged request, no services will be held.
