DONALD SIDES
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Donald Delbert Sides, 84, of Idaho
Falls, died December 18, 2004, at the home of his daughter in Idaho Falls
of Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born June 24, 1920, in Burley, Idaho, to Jessie
Delbert Sides and Susie Gutzman Sides. He grew up in Burley and attended
schools there, graduating from Burley High School. He served in the U.
S. Army 7th Cavalry during World War II in Japan.
He married LaVern Josephine Wardle June 3, 1939, in Rupert,
then went to school in Kansas City, Missouri, to be a Mechanical Technician.
They moved to Idaho Falls in 1954 he went to work for Roy J. Keller as
their top mechanic for some years. He then worked for Stoddard Ford and
later for Heyrend Produce as their mechanic and truck driver. He retired
in 1982.
He was a member of The Truth Church. He enjoyed race
cars and racing cars, fishing, hunting, camping, and driving trucks. He
loved his children and grandchildren, and was a very kind and gentle Christian
man.

Son: Darold D. Sides, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Debra J. (Larry) Moore, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Elva Kindred, Kimberly, ID
8 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Lila, and a granddaughter,
LaNeigha Heyrend.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December
23, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with
friends Thursday for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County
Veterans Team.
