Donald Rose

Donald Richard Rose, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 1, 2017, at his home.

He was born May 8, 1936, in Sacramento, California, to Earl Edward Rose and Carrie Rosella Pennington Rose. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from C.K. McClatchy High School in Sacramento. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman during the Korean War.

On August 27, 1960, he married Mary Margaret Murray in Sacramento, California. To this union were born three sons: Donald, Michael, and Sean. Donald and Mary made their home in Sacramento where Donald worked as a warehouseman for a grocery supply store.

Donald enjoyed sports and was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Rose of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Donald Richard (Corina) Rose, Jr. of Sacramento, CA; son, Michael Christopher (Kelly) Rose of Citrus Heights, CA; son, Sean Andrew (Deborah) Rose of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Earl Samuel Rose of Anaheim, CA; brother, William Russel (Diane) Rose of Sacramento, CA; brother, Jerry Ronald (Gayle) Rose of Fair Oaks, CA; sister, Barbara Ann Bartholomew of Sacramento, CA; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rose.
