Don Drewes

Donald Lee Drewes, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 24, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was under the care of Aspen Hospice.

Don was born November 14, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kenneth Drewes and Lois Jean Wilhelm Drewes. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School.

On February 15, 2009, he married Penny Irene Drewes in Las Vegas, Nevada. Don and Penny made their home in Idaho Falls, where Don worked in the family business, Drewes Distributing.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge, and the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, camping, 4wheeling, golfing, bowling, skiing, fixing things around the house, and anything outdoors.

Don is survived by his wife, Penny Irene Drewes of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Derek (Veronica) Drewes of Buckeye, AZ; son, Tyson Drewes of Buckeye, AZ; son, Kellen Dale of Idaho Falls, ID; and 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lois Drewes; brother, David Drewes; and son, Gared Dale.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer, the date and time will be announced later.
