DONALD COLLETTE
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Donald Wesley Collette, 81, of Idaho Falls,
died April 7, 2005, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 14, 1923, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Edgar
Ross Collet and Lucy LaVerne Thompson Collet. He grew up and attended schools
in Eagle Rock and Riverside Elementary, Central Jr. High School, graduating
from Idaho Falls High School. He served in the in the 24th Infantry Division
of the U.S. Army in the Phillipines and Occupation of Japan.
He married Lorna Ellis October 13, 1946, in Idaho Falls.
Their marriage was solemnized October 12, 1950, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He worked for First Security Bank for three years, then for the U. S. Postal
Service from which he retired after thirty years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints and served as an Elder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing,
gardening and traveling.

Brother: Ralph (Doris) Collet, St. Louis, MO
16 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Darwin Collette and Doug
Collette and a brother, Glenn Collette.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11,
2005, at the Idaho Falls LDS Rose Park Ward, 351 West 14th Street, with Bishop
Jeff Stark officiating.
The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and for one hour prior
to services Monday at the church.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery where Military rites
will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. Services are under
the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
