IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Don Clark was an especially kind, generous, and loving person. He loved his family, his church and his friends with all of his strong heart. He did not waiver in his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He passed from this life due to complications of a stroke suffered on June 5, 2008. His soul was completely set at peace on July 10, 2008, as he is now with Betty, the love of his life.
Don began his life on June 2, 1922, in Creighton, Nebraska, born to Leon and Flossie Clark.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and his sister, Marilyn. Don and Betty were married for 42 years and the romance lasted until his death. Don was a denturist for 63 years and owned Clark Dentures in Idaho Falls. During that time, he met and made numerous friends.
He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and received a Purple Hheart. He enjoyed listening to Christian music and it is safe to say his passion was devoted to cars. He also loved his Smitty's restaurant.
Don leaves behind five children, Dale and his wife, Laurie, residing in Tempe, Arizona; Carole and her husband, Dwight, from Dallas, Texas; Doug and his wife, Beverly; Pat and his wife, Deborah; and Sue, all residing in Nebraska; and his sister, Beth and her husband, Charlie, in Mason City, Iowa. He will be greatly missed by all.
A special thanks goes to Ken (son by "adoption") and Heather, Ken and Sharron, Darlene and Herm, Mike and Cottey, and countless others that are so very much appreciated and loved.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 2345 West Broadway, with Pastor Thomas Campbell officiating. I first got to know Don several years ago when I sat with he and his bride in their home. I was his insurance agent for his home and "new" auto. He always was a courteous and kind soul. I truly enjoyed the opportunity to get to know him. He will indeed be missed.
God bless,

I met Don back in the day when he and the other Denturists were trying to change the State Law, and I was his TV Account Exec. He and his wife became good friends which extended to recently when I became his customer.
I always relished the conversations we had which ran the gammut from politics to religion and beyond. I will especially remember some of his stories about being a Seaman on a Liberty ship on D-Day.
Don was one of those special people we are privileged to meet occasionally -- if we are lucky.
My condolences to you for our loss.
