Don Charles Edgerton, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 26, 2011, at his home of natural causes.
Don was born January 17, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas, to Charles Bennett Edgerton and Billie Madeliene Bush Edgerton. He grew up in Texas with his brother and two sisters and graduated from Ozona High School in Ozona, Texas.
Don continued his education and graduated from Texas A & M University with a bachelor’s degree and Colorado State University with a master’s degree.
He served as a Captain in the U. S. Army.
Don worked as a Range Scientist with the National Resource Conservation Service in Idaho Falls and Pueblo, Colorado until his retirement . He was a former County Extension Agent in Agriculture in Colorado and Idaho.
Don was a Christian and a member of the Baptist Church. He earned his Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Society for Range Management and enjoyed photography and woodworking.

Brother: Bill (Susan) Edgerton of Cortez, CO
Sister: Janie (Joe) VanZandt of Mobeetie, TX
Sister: Skookie (Dave) Bailey of Bivins, TX
and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
The family suggests donations to Texas A & M Foundation, 401 George Bush Drive, College Station, TX 77840, in memory of Don C. Edgerton, Eternal Aggie Corp of Cadet Fund.
