Don Louis Cazier - 11/23/2002 Don Louis Cazier - 11/23/2002 DON L. CAZIER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Don Louis Cazier, 78, of Idaho Falls, died November 22, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1924, in Rigby, Idaho, to Frederick Tobias Cazier and Mary May Brossard Cazier. He grew up and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School in 1942. He then attended Los Angeles City College, Notre Dame University, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Civil Engineering in 1945. He married Virginia Ann Snow March 9, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in July, 1946. She preceded him in death in February of 1985. He married Patricia Gay Sanderson August 2, 1985 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked as Road Department Engineer for Cuyahoga County, Ohio, for Standard Oil Company of Ohio, and for B. F. Goodrich Chemical Company. In 1957, he was plant manager for the R. T. French Company in Shelley. He was then promoted to Chief Corporate Engineer for R. T. French in Rochester, New York. While in this position, he designed and built plants in Fresno, CA, Springfield, IL and Washburn, Maine. He was Vice President of the R. T. French Institutional Division and Vice President of the Potato Division at the time of his retirement in 1985. He then worked as a potato processing consultant from 1986 to 1991. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various ward and stake callings. From 1992 to 1994, he and Patricia served a full-time mission in the Washington D.C. South mission. He enjoyed building homes for himself and his family and built a total of twelve. He also enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, woodworking, building furniture, and in the last year started painting china. He loved skiing, basketball, baseball and bowling, but his garden was his pride and joy. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS Taylorview Ward, with Bishop Rodney Hillam officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and for one hour prior to services on Tusday at the church. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
