DOLLIE C. BALES
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dollie Charmaine Cox Bales, 76, of Idaho Falls, died October 9, 2001, at Life Care Center.
She was born December 18, 1924 at Idaho Falls to Samuel Levis Cox and Vinita Abter Cox. She attended schools in Blackfoot.
She married Raymond H. Wehrli on November 2, 1943. They lived in Sterling, Idaho for 18 years and had a son and twin daughters. They were later divorced. She married Willard Bales on March 2, 1974 at Idaho Falls. While living in Pocatello she worked for the railroad. She worked in the potato processing plants in both Aberdeen and American Falls. She also worked as head cashier in both the Riverview and Parkview hospitals until her retirement at the age of 62. Her husband passed away on July 26, 1998.
She was a loving mother and doted on her grandchildren. Her house was a warm gathering place for family and friends. She was an avid outdoorswoman and spent most weekends outdoors where she loved fishing, hunting, and working in her flower gardens.
Surviving are:Son: Loyd (Rene) Wehrli, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Darlene Kalbeitzer, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Donna Farmer, American Falls, IDSon: Bob (Gerry) Bales, Portland, ORSon: Jim (Becky) Bales, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Annette (Don) Wiley, Arden, NCSon: Mike (Kim) Bales, Rapid City, SDBrother: Jack Cox, Cosmopolis, WABrother: Raymond Murphy, Scottsdale, ARBrother: Keith Cox, ORSister: Laverla Robison, Raymond, WASister: Margorie Brady, Salt Lake City, UT 28 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, 1 brother and her parents. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2001, at Wood Funeral Home, with Loyd Wehrli officiating. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
