Click Here To View Memorial Video Dixie Anita Maharry, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Pinebrook Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. Dixie was born January 16, 1943, in Driggs, ID, to George Anthony Humble and Ruth Bernice Wiser Humble. She attended Victor Elementary and Teton High School in Driggs. Dixie also attended Ricks College for three years. On July 28, 1967, she married Roland Floyd Maharry in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born two daughters; Patricia and Brenda. Dixie and Roland were later divorced. Dixie made her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Dixie worked as a CNA for over 15 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dixie enjoyed her cats, gardening, working as a nurse and collecting dolls. Dixie is survived by her loving daughters; Brenda Taylor of Idaho Falls, ID and Patricia (Brian) Rasmussen of Pocatello, ID mother, Ruth Wiser of Sandpoint, ID, brother, Ronald Humble, brother, James (Elsa) Humble, sister, Bonnita Humble , and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, George Anthony Humble and her grandparents. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014, at Taylor Cemetery.
