Diana June Hirschey

Diana June Hirschey, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 1, 2015, at her home. Diana was born October 27, 1947, in Durham, North Carolina, to Wordie Fitzgerald and Obera Underwood Fitzgerald. She grew up and attended schools in Florida, and graduated from North Miami High School. She also attended Dade Jr. College, where she earned her Associate’s Degree. On October 27, 1977, she married Mark Hirschey in North Miami, Florida. To this union were born four children, Mark, Heidi, Heather, and Haley. Diana and Mark made their home in Idaho Falls, where Diana worked as a registered nurse for ten years at Western Visiting Nurses, and for twelve years at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was a Christian. She enjoyed baking, reading, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Diana is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Mark Hirschey of Idaho Falls; Mark (Jenny) Hirschey, Jr. of Maricopa, AZ; daughter, Heidi Hirschey of Idaho Falls; daughter, Heather Hirschey of Idaho Falls; daughter, Haley (Nicholas) Warner of Idaho Falls; granddaughter, Serenity Warner of Idaho Falls; granddaughter, Anorah Warner of Idaho Falls; grandson, Mark Hirschey III of Maricopa, AZ; granddaughter, Greta Hirschey of Maricopa, AZ; brother, Bill (Gail) Fitzgerald of Greensboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Charles Fitzgerald. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Fielding Memorial Park, 4602 South Yellowstone Highway.
