Deven Reed Zundel, 26, was called home to heaven on Thursday, August 14, 2014. He was born November 20, 1987 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Kenneth Reed Zundel and Melinda Kay Thompson. Deven was a wonderful soul with a passion for helping others and was always more than happy to go out of his way whenever someone needed him. This was especially true when matters concerned family or friends. Before studying at Idaho State University, he attended Ammon Elementary School, Sandcreek Middle School, Hillcrest High School, then Lincoln High School, all in Idaho Falls. During childhood, Deven was an avid gamer and it was a passion that extended into his adult life. His fondness for video games and technology helped fuel his drive for wanting to learn more about computers. After high school Deven moved on to fulfill his want to learn more about computers and enjoyed his time at Idaho State. Deven was a very intelligent man with a knack for computers and a soft-spot for children. He was the father of two beautiful boys he is survived by. He was an amazing parent and loved his boys more than anything else in this world. Deven Reed Zundel is survived by a his two sons, Deven Reed Zundel Jr. and Dalton Everett Zundel of Idaho Falls, ID; father, Ken (Cindy) Zundel of Meridian, ID; mother, Melinda (Jim) Thompson of Ammon, ID; brother, Brandon Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Tyrell Zundel of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Tony Thompson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Justin Thompson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Jarred (Heather) Thompson of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Darcie Zundel of Meridian, ID; sister, Sophie Zundel of Meridian, ID; sister, Kenedee Zundel of Meridian, ID; grandparents, Ken and Ina Berry of Pocatello, ID; grandparents, Reed and Joann Zundel of Nampa, ID; and a countless number of loving family and friends. Deven was preceded in death by his sister, Micah Lynn Christensen, niece, Brooklyn Brown and a cousin, Chelsea Tucker. Leaving behind a wonderful legacy and a trove of countless wonderful memories, Deven Reed Zundel will be missed greatly, but the love he left and the love people feel for him will live on forever. A gathering and BBQ will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 3395 Rawson in Ammon, ID.
