Deven Skinner

Deven Thad Skinner, 16, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 6, 2017, at his home. Deven was born June 30, 2001, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Thad Eudean Skinner and Wendy Lee Carlson Skinner. He grew up in Iona and attended Iona Elementary, Rocky Mountain Middle School and Bonneville High School. Deven was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served and participated in a number of activities throughout his life. One such activity was scouting, which he participated in for many years. Deven loved music and was a talented musician. He enjoyed playing the guitar and the violin. Deven also enjoyed many outdoor activities including four-wheeling and mountain biking. He especially loved doing these things with his cousins. But what Deven will be remembered for most is his kind and tender heart. He loved children and animals and was always willing to serve those in need. Deven is survived by his parents, Thad and Wendy Skinner of Idaho Falls, brother, Tegan Dean Skinner of Idaho Falls, grandmother, Linda Skinner of Herriman, UT, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Skinner and grandparents, Dennis and Karen Carlson. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Iona LDS Stake Center, 7555 North 55th East, with Bishop Travis Bennett of the Yellowstone Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
