Derek Vincent

Derek L. Vincent, 25, of Idaho Falls, left us on October 16, 2011, in Caldwell, Idaho, to go be with Jesus. Derek was born July 17, 1986, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Larry Davis and Cathy Lyn Vincent. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. In 2005, Derek moved to Cleveland, Ohio, to be with his cousin, Jeremy. He lived there for one year and began his spiritual journey. He later moved back to Idaho Falls and pursued his career as a medical transcriptionist for Dr. Michael T. Harris in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Derek loved his music. He would listen to music for hours while singing and playing his harmonica. He also loved spending time with his cousins and grandparents. He had a passion for playing video games and conquering every game he played. Derek left behind his most treasured companion, Sadie (his Pomeranian). They have been at each others side for eight years. Derek had a very big heart and was loved and will be missed by many. Survivors include his parents, Larry Davis and Cathy Vincent of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Erica (Tyler) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; maternal grandparents, Larry and Jone Vincent of Idaho Falls, ID; paternal grandparents, Warren and La Von Davis of Shelley, ID; niece, Kenzie; nephew, Bentlee and of course, Sadie; and many loving, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Derek was preceded in death by his cousin, Nicholas Davis. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Shiloh Foursquare Church, 502 - 2nd Street, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with Derek’s friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
