Deon (Lecheminant) Huntsman

Deon Lecheminant Hunstman, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 19, 2024, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia.

Deon was born July 8, 1935, in Chester, Idaho, to John Farr Lecheminant and Mary Ellen Hathaway Lecheminant. She graduated high school in St. Anthony, Idaho, then graduated from Idaho State University as a Pharmacist. She worked as a Pharmacist in Driggs and Ashton, Idaho, for over 30 years. Deon married Floyd Basil Hunstman on October 31, 1958, in St. Anthony, and they were later sealed in the LDS Temple.

She loved the Utah Jazz, doing genealogy, rock/crystal hunting and collecting, crocheting, and spending her time with family. In her later years, she enjoyed playing cards and putting together jigsaw puzzles with her friends. She also loved to color and collect plants. Her grandkids and great grandkids were her pride and joy. She loved when they would come by and visit.

Deon is survived by her children, Pamela Kaye Heskett (Rob) and Micheal John Hunstman; grandchildren, Cole (Ashley), Cayd (Niki), Carly, Jaedyn, Brennan (Edie), Danika, Daradi, Braytan (Jennifer), Chelsea (Sean), and Kadee; great grandchildren, Maiciy, Trinity, Taebree, Chloee, Clancey, Ryan (Raegan),Tayzleigh, Carter, Braxx, Bexley, Autumn, Colton, Paizlee, Blake, Rhett, Kayson, Zach, Karma, Trevor, and Carter; and great-great-grandchild, Lawsyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Diana Marie Jeppeson; brothers, Jack (Donna), Eugene (Betty), Walter (Eleanor), and Larry (Coleen); sisters, Dorothy (Tom), and Grayce (Reed).

Deon’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Teton Healthcare of Cascadia for going above and beyond in taking care of her and helping all her family while visiting. And to Judie Fohs for being an amazing friend to Deon.

Inurnment will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Pineview Cemetery, 3609 E 1300 Rd N, Ashton, Idaho.
