Dennis Fredrick Prichard, 69, of Ammon, passed away October 11, 2016, surrounded by his family at his home.
Dennis was born December 26, 1946, in Great Falls, Montana, to Arthur Mackay Prichard and Lucille Delger Prichard. He grew up and attended schools in Great Falls, Montana, and graduated from Great Falls High School.
On April 24, 1971, he married Peggy Ann Davis in Shelby, Montana. To this union were born three children, Christal, Dustin, and Heather. Dennis was a Master Sergeant in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. After his retirement, Dennis and Peggy made their home in Ammon, Idaho.
He enjoyed activities in the outdoors with family and friends including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and riding four-wheelers. He took pride in his camper and boat and loved to share them. Dennis had quite the sense of humor, when he started a story you never knew how it would end; serious or hilarious! Dennis also loved all his nieces and nephews; there were always some coming and going that he would make laugh or offer advice to.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Peggy Prichard of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Heather Denise Prichard of Ammon, ID; grandchildren, Ryan Henkel of Mesa, AZ; Dustin Henkel, Logan Robb, Emma Schofield, Wyatt Cox, and Walker Tea, all of Ammon, ID.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christal Avon Prichard; son, Dustin Fredrick Prichard; a brother, William Prichard; and his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Watersprings Church (4250 South 25th East) in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
