Dennis Michael Perkins

Dennis Michael Perkins, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 19, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from cancer.

Dennis was born June 22, 1954, in Burley, Idaho, to Delbert Perkins and Alta June Knebelau Perkins. He grew up and attended schools in Burley, Idaho, and the Salt Lake City area.

On June 22, 2001, Dennis met his soulmate, and on July 30, 2018, he married Janet Loreen Downs in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dennis and Janet made their home in Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Dennis worked for several construction companies.

Dennis was happiest when doing projects where he could create and build. Dennis was a beautiful artist. His legacy lives on through hundreds of paintings adorning hoods, gas tanks, and walls. He loved building and his architectural genius was amazing, from simple trim, to tree house observation decks for star gazing. He has left his mark on hundreds of buildings.

Dennis’ love for his international pickup, his 1967 Travco Motorhome, and his Tote-Gote was quite apparent as he talked about them with a twinkle in his eye. Dennis was a champion arm wrestler and had won many trophies and championships. He also loved camping, playing pool, and metal detecting. Dennis was a sweet, caring, hulk of a man, a gentle giant who would help anyone who needed him. He loved his many life-long friends.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Janet Perkins of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Tulene Perkins of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Conan (Tori) Perkins of Nampa, ID; son, Brogan (Tabitha) Perkins of Boise, ID; stepsons, Shad (Sara) Bizer, Justin (Tiffany) Bizer, James Masson, and Ryker Masson; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Timothy Perkins and James Perkins.
