Dennis A. Bumgarner

On Saturday, December 5, 2020, Dennis Allen Bumgarner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at age 80.

Dennis was born February 8, 1940, in Dawson, Minnesota, to Francis and Bessie West Bumgarner. He served in the USMC for 10 years, completing two tours in Vietnam. While in the service, he received multiple awards.

He married his first wife, Marie Warren, on July 18, 1959, and they raised two daughters, Kathy and Karen. Marie passed away in 1997. On October 16, 1999, Dennis married Cathy Pour and helped her raise a son and daughter.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Francis; mother, Bessie; and daughter, Karen.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughter, Kathy; step-son, Tom; step-daughter, Michelle; 5 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020, at the Bridge Church, 2170 12th Street, Idaho Falls, ID, 83404. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Marine Guard.
