DeNIECE P. MILLS
DeNiece Pearl Mortensen Mills, 79, of Idaho Falls, died
December 27, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 27, 1925, in Sugar City, Idaho, to
Charles Christian Mortensen and Pearl Evelyn Chandler Mortensen. She grew
up in Sugar City and attended schools there, graduating from Sugar-Salem
High School.
She married Clarence Mills November 30, 1943, in Pocatello.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She
was a homemaker and mother. Clarence died June 20, 1985.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, she served as Relief Society President, in the Name Extraction
Program, as a Singl Adult Represenative, Young Women’s Secretary,
and various other callings, including Visiting Teacher. She served a full-time
mission to the North Carolina, Raleigh Mission, and served a Temple mission
at the Idaho Falls Temple. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Yellowstone
Park and the Tetons, fishing, camping, reading, nature-particularly Cardinals,
and playing Scrabble.

Sister: Eva (Blaine) Petersen, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Von (Dorene) Mortensen, Taylorsville, UT
10 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, her parents, and a
brother, Newell Mortensen.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December
31, 2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS Templeview Ward, 1450 Mountainview Lane,
with Bishop Dennis Reilly officiating.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30
to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and Friday for one hour
prior to services at the church.
The family suggests memorials to The Perpetual Education
Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or the American
Cancer Society, 2676 Vista Avenue, Boise, ID 83705.
Burial will be in the Sugar City Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
