DENA PUGMIRE IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dena Lynne Harker Pugmire, 42, of Idaho Falls, died October 27, 2003, at her home, following a lingering illness. She was born August 13, 1961, in Shelby, Montana, to Leo Kay Harker and Darlene Neeley Harker. At age 2½ the family moved to Santa Barbara, California, and then to Idaho Falls in 1969. Except for one year in Great Falls, Montana, she grew up in Idaho Falls, where she attended schools and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She married Keith Pugmire December 7, 1979, in Hailey, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in March, 1982. Following their marriage they lived in Shelley for five years, then came back to Idaho Falls, where they have lived ever since. She was a homemaker, mother, and also worked as a sales clerk at Zane's Jewelry and as a receptionist in a doctor's office. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various capacities over the years. Dena loved being a mother and was an outstanding artist and interior decorator. She loved sports and water, especially the ocean. Dena was self taught on the piano and guitar and loved to sing. Surviving are: Husband: Keith Pugmire, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Terrah Pugmire, Boise, ID Son: Casey Pugmire, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Tiana Pugmire, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Tylee Pugmire, Idaho Falls, ID Parents: Leo & Darlene Harker, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Scott Harker, Cashmere, WA Sister: Deola Finn, Pocatello, ID Sister: Dixie Calkins, Lehi, UT and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father-in-law, Stuart Pugmire. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff 2nd Ward, 1660 – 12th Street, with Bishop O’Dell Young officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
