Delton "Dell" Holland - 08/30/2002 Delton "Dell" Holland - 08/30/2002 DELTON "DELL" HOLLAND IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Delton “Dell” Holland, 96, of Idaho Falls, died August 29, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born January 22, 1906 in Shelley, Idaho to Joseph Holland and Harriet Daniels Brown Holland. He grew up and attended schools in Shelley. He married Oretta Hansen on September 23, 1931 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. He worked as a mail carrier throughout his working years. She preceded him in death March 2, 1981. He married Wanda Johnson on May 30, 1981. She passed away November 1997. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served a mission in the western states and held many other church positions. He enjoyed building homes, bowling, traveling and attending the temple. Surviving are:Son: Brent (Karri) Holland, Idaho Falls, IDStepdaughter: Gay (George) Johnson, Victor, IDStepdaughter: Joy (Iver) Elg, Boise, IDStep son-in-law: Gilbert Murdoch, Idaho FallsSister: Ora Swent, Heber City, UT3 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and numerous step and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, five sisters and a stepdaughter, Darlene Murdoch. Funeral Services will be at 1l:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 7th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop David Holland officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho1920 East 17th StreetIdaho Falls, ID 83404.
