Deloris Rae Smith

Delores Rachel Smith, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 22, 2021, at her home.

Delores was born August 13, 1942, in Solana Beach, CA, to Robert Deere and Helena Korstad Deere.  She was born and raised in California and graduated from Redondo High School in Long Beach, CA.

She married Mark Smith in Spokane, WA. They made their home in California, where they separated, and she moved to Idaho Falls, ID, to be near her family. Delores worked as a secretary for the Department of Agriculture for 25 years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed horses and all her animals, camping, hiking, and loved to sew. She especially loved the unloved.

Delores is survived by her son, Bruce Murray of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Erica Smith O'Connor of Ogden, UT; adopted son, Rudy Beauford, and daughter Jerijo, who she loved very much; brother, Geary Curtis of Ammon, ID; brothers, David Ross and Robert Ross, both of Long Beach, CA; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Gwenith Ross.

Private family services will be held.
