Delores Josephine "Dee" Henry Jorgensen, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 10, 2011, at her home.
Dee was born May 29, 1927, at the family home in Hayes Township, Kansas, to Earl W. Henry and Opal Hariette Couger Henry. She grew up and attended schools in Kansas.
On July 15, 1946, she married Raymond Oliver Jorgensen, in Kansas. They made their home in Beloit, Kansas, and moved to Idaho Falls in 1957. Dee was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker.
After Raymond passed away, she stayed at her home, 755 Sharp Place, until October, 2010, when she moved into Lincoln Court. Dee really appreciated the hospitality and interaction they provided to their residents and the opportunity it gave her to make new friends.
Dee was a longtime member of the Idaho Falls Eagles, also the Auxiliary and REAC. She held several offices and also served as President of REAC.
She enjoyed playing Bingo with her many friends. She also enjoyed camping, picnicking, fishing, and traveling with her family.
Dee is survived by her three children, Gary (Jackie) Jorgensen, Cheryl (Roger) Dubach, and Diane (Richard) Shipman; two sisters, Karen Houston, and Margie Heeler; four grandchildren, Amy, Christine, Elesha and Eric, as well as seven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother.
Our family would like to especially thank Hospice of Eastern Idaho for all the kindness and care they provided for our mother.
Mother was a great influence in our lives and will be deeply missed by her family.
