DELMAR JAMISON
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Delmar Reed Jamison, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 9, 2007 in South Jordan, Utah, at the home of his daughter. He had been under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho, and Inspiration Hospice of Salt Lake City.
He was born January 4, 1926, in Preston, Idaho, to William Reed Jamison and Maggie Comish Whitehead Jamison. He attended Franklin High School, serving as Student Body President.
During World War II he served in the U. S. Army in the Phillipines and in the first occupation of Japan. He then served a mission to the Central Atlantic States Mission. He worked as a tree surgeon in California, then attended USAC in Logan, Utah, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
While attending college, he married Rosalie Arave June 4, 1953, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. After marriage, he brought the first Bernina sewing machine dealership to Idaho Falls. He worked as an Architect for Ready to Pour Concrete and Idaho Lumber. He later opened his own business, Jamison Construction.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in numerous positions including counselor to the bishop, scouting, and missions with his wife to Arkansas, Salt Lake City, and Idaho Falls. He enjoyed spending time as a caring grandfather, camping, skiing, and bungie jumping.

Daughter: Janeena (Noel) Wing, Nampa, ID
Brother: Terrell (Paddi) Jamison, Bountiful, UT
Sister: Margaret (Alan) Plowman, Logan, UT
Sister: Lorraine (Gene) Hansen, Mesa, AZ
33 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Devon Lee Jamison, a brother, Rey, and two grandchildren, Vaughn and Aisha.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, at the Idaho Falls Boulevard Ward, 351 West 14th Street, with Bishop Neil Russell officiating.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery, where Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
