DELMA BOSWORTH IDAHO FALLS, ID - Delma Packer Bosworth, 87, of Idaho Falls, died January 11, 2005, at the home of her daughter. She was born 1 November, 1917 at Preston, Franklin, Idaho to Ora Workman and Estus Mechem Packer. She grew up and attended schools in Riverdale, four miles north of Preston. At Preston High School, she was on the honor role all four years, took the lead in school plays, sang in the opera, was on the debating team, and played the violin in the orchestra She graduated in 1936. She attended LDS Business College. then worked for the Utah Power and Light Company as a private secretary to the division manager. She married Junious LaVar Christopherson Bosworth the 24th of May, 1941, and on the 19th of December, 1941, they were sealed in the Logan Temple. When her children were in school she went back to college and graduated from ISU and worked on a doctorate from International University of Nutrition. She also graduated from BYU as a certified geneaologist, tracing her ancestry back many generations. She taught a private kindergarten in her home for ten years. Her husband died in 1982. She served a full-time LDS mission in the Los Angeles area. She served on two stake boards, Sunday school and MIA, and directed choirs, including a stake youth choir that sang in wards in and near Preston. She taught all of her children to sing and play the piano. Her hobbies were first music, and she loved organic gardening. Surviving are: Daughter: Connie Teeter, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Kathleen (Dr. William) Daily, Livermore, CA Son: Lennis (Janna) Bosworth, Las Vegas, NV Daughter: Camille Jenkins, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Rita (Terrell) Robertson, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Jean (Corey) Jenkins, South Weber, UT Brother: Marve Packer, Riverdale, ID Brother: Nathan Packer, St. Charles, ID Sister: Joyce LuDean Lesniak, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Marilyn Jonak, Woodville, ID 26 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren,. She was preceded in death by a daughter at birth and a son, Brent LaVar. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2005, at the Idaho Falls 28th Ward, 1165 Azalea, with Bishop Cleo Geddes officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
