Della Rae Mueller

Click Here To View Memorial Video Della Rae Bates Mueller, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 2, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society - Idaho Falls Village. Della was born August 24, 1942, to Arlen Charles Bates and Minnie Ardella Craner Bates. She was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. On January 14, 1958, she married Thomas Armand Mueller in Twin Falls. They started working at the Gas Lamp Pizza on Blue Lake Boulevard in Twin Falls on August 15, 1964. In June, 1965, Della and Tom moved to Idaho Falls, where they managed and were part owners of the Gas Lamp Pizza, The Gay Nineties Pizza, and owners of Papa Tom’s Pizza. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Della enjoyed reading, dancing, going to their cabin, outings with friends, playing 21 at Jackpot and spending time with her family and pets. Della is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Thomas Armand Mueller of Idaho Falls, daughter, Cynthia (Eric) Henscheid of Boise, ID son, Tim (Mary) Mueller of Idaho Falls, ID son, Mike Mueller of Idaho Falls, ID grandchildren, Brandy Simonds, Kristopher (Teran) Mueller, Matt Mueller, Zac Mueller, Ian Henscheid, Sarah Henscheid, Sadee Mueller, Halle Wright great-grandchildren, Quincy Prestwich and Ryker Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Charles Arlin Bates and a sister, Alene Craner Nelson. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with George Hand officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to offer special thanks to Lisa Brighton, who loved and cared for Della, the second floor staff at Mountain View Hospital for making Della’s stay comfortable, and to Dr. Scott Taylor and Dr. Shawn Speirs for all their care and compassion.
