DELLA HARRIS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Della Virginia Park Harris, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 4, 2006, at her home of causes incident to age. She was born February 19, 1925, in Idaho Falls, to Hugh Dellwin Park and Leona Priscilla Brookbush Park. She grew up in Thomas and graduated from Thomas High School. She also lived in Osgood, Pocatello, and briefly in California, where she worked in a Defense Plant during World War II, before returning to Idaho Falls, where she lived most of her adult life. She married Arnold Holland Harris January 25, 1946, in Dillon, Montana. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple February 14, 1979. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked as a waitress, as a cook at Fairview Elementary School, and for EG&G at the Site. Her husband passed away April 30, 1990. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various callings over the years, including Family History missions to Louisiana, North Carolina, and Idaho Falls. She loved knitting, crocheting, and traveling. She was a fan of the Utah Jazz and enjoyed all sports. Survivors include: Daughter: Toni (Dean) Ward, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Terry (Dennis) Sievers, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: LeAnn Burnham, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Joy Lynne (Brian) Spaulding, Mountain Home, ID Daughter: Peggy Sue (Richard) Grover, Rexburg, ID Daughter-In-Law: Deborah (Phil) Jordin, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Wayne (Arlene) Park, Moreland, ID Brother: Hugh (Joyce) Park, Salt Lake City, UT Sister: Norma Hubler, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Afton Wilson, Salt Lake City, UT Sister: Patricia (Karl) Capson, Moreland, ID 30 Grandchildren & 44 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Cliff Harris, a grandson, Levi, and a sister, Maxine. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS Parkwood Ward, 395 Second Street, with Bishop David A. Burger officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. ----------------------------------------------------- Condolences sent online: David Warth Sorry, my wife LaVon and I cannot attend the services.
