IDAHO FALLS, ID - Della Thomas Folsom died December 28,
2004.
She was born November 6, 1927, to David Leo and Mary
Naomi Thomas in Malad, Idaho. She spent her early years in Malad, eventually
moving to Idaho Falls. She attended Idaho Falls High School.
In 1945 she married Harry Folsom in Idaho Falls, where
they continued to make their home until 1961, when they moved to Ririe,
owning and operating Gateway Service until 1971, when they retired. They
maintained their home in Ririe but spent most of their time in Island
Park, where they built and sold several cabins. She loved spending time
in Island Park, snowmobiling, fishing and watching “her squirrels.”
In 1980 they started wintering in Arizona, where she
learned to love the desert seasons. Della and Harry square danced for
many years with the Promenaders Square Dance Club and various clubs in
Arizona and shared many memories of traveling and dancing with the friends
they made in square dancing.
She cherished her family and loved spending time with
them. Her grandchildren DeeDee and Shane Fisher share many memories of
camping and fishing with “Ga” and Grandpa.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Folsom of Ririe.
