Dell Denning

Dell M. Denning, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 26, 2012, at his home. Dell was born April 13, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Manuel Denning and Zola Irma Hanson Denning. He grew up and attended schools in Ammon. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. On August 20, 1959, he married Jacqueline JoAnn Miller in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union were born five children, Vernon, Margo, Mark, Deloss, and Keith. Dell and Jackie lived in Idaho Falls and Dell worked as an auto mechanic. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, camping, crossword books, watching wrestling, working on cars as a hobby, and spending time with his family and grandkids. Dell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jackie, Son, Mark Denning of Idaho Falls, ID, Son, Vernon (Heidi) Miller of Idaho Falls, ID, Son, Keith Denning of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Deloss Denning of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Margo Rodriguez of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother, Phillip (Rose) Denning of Twin Falls, ID, Brother, Dennis Denning of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister, Juel Campbell of Twin Falls, ID, Sister, Janice (Cecil) Perez of Idaho Falls, ID, Sister, Gwen Stevens of Idaho Falls, ID, Sister, Gail Soliday of Idaho Falls, ID, Sister, Irmadine (Howard) Cornwall of Pocatello, ID, Sister, Lois (Robert) Denham of Rupert, ID; Sister, Carol (Wendell) Dunn of American Falls, ID. 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Deloss Denning and Dewayne Denning, and a daughter, Mazola Denning. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS 14th Ward, 651 Gladstone, with Gary Ferrin, Second Counselor in the 21st Ward bishopric, officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Thursday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Jefferson County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Thursday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery.
