DELBERT L. PARK Delbert LeRoy Park, 90, of Idaho Falls, died January 23, 2004, at the Life Care Center. He was born September 30, 1913, in Ririe, Idaho, to Alfred Henry Park and Cora Probart Park. He attended Ririe and Osgood Schools until 8th grade, then Ammon High School through 10th grade. He married Martha Elizabeth Hammon, October 7, 1933, in Idaho Falls, Idaho and they had three children. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in 1940. She preceded him in death March 1, 1979. On August 4, 1979, he married Ruby McKinley Oswald who had four daughters and whose grandchildren he enjoyed as his own. He worked in potato processing warehouses, in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930's, for Clark Concrete, for Lundahl Tire Shop, then for 30 years as a coordinator for the LDS Regional Bishop’s Storehouse. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he and his son, Robert, attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He served a Stake Mission and was a temple worker for 15 years. He loved laughing and singing when his children and grandchildren visited, cooking pancakes for them, and enjoyed fishing, camping, watching the sunrise, going for drives, taking care of his lawn and garden, and eating carrot cake with ice cream. He loved his dogs and his horse, Dot. Surviving are: Wife: Ruby Oswald Park, Idaho Falls Daughter: Mona Jean (Jerry)Sherwood, Layton, UT Daughter: JoAnn (Ralston)Scott, Nampa, ID Stepdaughters: Reva (Peter) Versey, Idaho Falls Joan (Clair) Layton, Pocatello, ID Jeanne (Dallas) Rasmussen, Valdez, AK Sister: Maxine Foote, Idaho Falls, Sister: Barbara Jean (Dale) Green, Florence, CO 43 Grandchildren, 117 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Martha, sister, Arletta Pass, a brother, Carlos W. Park, a son Robert, a stepdaughter, Carolyn Timmons and a stepson, Kenneth W. Oswald. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2004, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Bishop Steven Hunter of the Idaho Falls LDS 24th Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. at Woods. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
