CLYDE KLINGER
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Delbert “Clyde” L. Klinger,
58, of Rigby, died September 11, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical
Center.
He was born January 11, 1945 at Barrytownship, Pennsylvania
to Gurney Robert Klinger and Mildred Corlina Moser Klinger. He grew up and
attended schools in the area, graduating from Valley View High School in
1962. He served in the U. S. Navy and earned the rank of Senior Class Petty
Officer. He lived in Newport, Rhode Island for 2 years, San Diego, California
for 4 years, and then Lakeside, California for 7 years. For the past 21
years, he has lived in Rigby.
On March 15, 1975, he married Karla Jean Allen in Idaho
Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in November of 1978 in the Idaho Falls
LDS Temple. He spent 21 years in the U. S. Navy retiring in June of 1982.
For 19 years, he worked at INEEL until his retirement in 2001. He had just
started a new job with Philotechnics at NRF.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-Day Saints serving as Elders Quorum Counselor, Stake Missionary,
Scoutmaster, Assistant Cubmaster, and High Priest Group Counselor. He enjoyed
fishing, hunting, cooking, camping, wood crafts, riding four wheelers, quilting,
gardening, and playing cards. He especially loved being with his family
who will dearly miss him.

Half Brother: Marlin Klinger, Shamoken, PA
Sister: Betty (Paul) Fetterolf, Ashland, PA
Sister: Ethel Ballengee, Shady Springs, WV
15 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Ernest, and his father-in-law,
Cecil Allen
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, September
16, 2003, at the Garfield LDS 2nd Ward, (71 North 3700 East) with Bishop
Eric Kunz officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7-8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services
at the church.
Burial will be in Iona Cemetery under the direction of
Wood Funeral Home.
