DELBERT JENKINS
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Delbert L Jenkins, 71, of Idaho Falls, died May 30, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 28, 1935, in Sugar City, Idaho, to Huston Lusk Jenkins and Caddie Davis Jenkins. He attended schools in Rexburg graduating from Madison High School and attending Ricks College.
He married DeLone Larson and they were later divorced. He married Eileen Lake Merrill September 29, 1962, in Idaho Falls. He worked in retail sales and management. They lived in Independence, Missouri for 25 years, then returned to Idaho Falls. Upon his retirement, they spent half of each year at Fountain of Youth Spa Resort near Niland, California.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served an LDS Mission in the Northern States Mission. His greatest joy was being with his family and his dog Pepè. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, gardening, loved meeting and talking to people-'he never met a stranger'- and was a member of the Rolling Russetts R.V. Group.

Brother: Huston Dee (Mariland) Jenkins, Pocatello, ID
Brother: Frank (Lorene) Jenkins, Rexburg, ID
Brother: Vaughn (Linda) Jenkins, Rexburg, ID
Sister: Arlene Janson, Rexburg, ID
23 Grandchildren & 1 Great Grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jay Jenkins.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS Skyline Ward, 2345 West 17th South, with Bishop Kirk Larsen officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
