DEE R. BURTON
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Dee Rainey Burton, 79, of Idaho Falls,
died November 7, 2003, at his home from natural causes.
He was born February 1, 1924, in Etna, Wyoming, to Wilford
Fielding Burton and Ivie Irene Rainey Burton. He attended schools in Star
Valley and graduated from Star Valley High School. He served in the U.
S. Merchant Marines during World War II.
He married Lila Haderlie in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple
October 13, 1949. He worked for 36 years at the AEC/INEEL Site.
As a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, he served in many callings. He loved his family and
enjoyed being with them.
He also loved to read, travel, hunt, fish, kept a meticulous
yard, had a great sense of humor, got along with everyone, and was truly
a good neighbor.

Daughter: Diane (Jim) Burton-Gibson, Taylor, AZ
Son: David H. Burton, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Julie Burton-Ferguson, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Lynn (Gayle) Burton, St. George, UT
Sister: Ann Burton Buzzell, Orem, UT
11 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Wilma Croft, a brother,
Keith R. Burton and 1 grandson, Trent Gibson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday,
November 14, 2003, at the Woodruff LDS 2nd Ward, 1660 - 12th Street, with
Bishop O’Dell Young officiating. The family will visit with friends
Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge,
and Friday for one hour prior to service at the church.
Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery in Freedom, Wyoming,
under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
