Debra “Debbie” Sue Hansen, 53, of Idaho Falls, peacefully returned to her heavenly home on May 23, 2021. She was very musically talented; playing the clarinet, the piano, violin, and singing. She was always social, with many friends, and loved to laugh. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sewing, and talking on the phone. Debbie had a light about her and even through her many difficult health challenges and trials, remained faithful to God as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even in the midst of her own struggles, she sought to serve and share love, often visiting her mother at her nursing home, making quilts, and crocheting items for others.
Debbie attended Idaho Falls High School and later received a G.E.D. She married Vern Hulse and found one of her greatest joys in becoming a mother to her sweet daughters; Tabitha and Samantha. She later married the love of her life, Mark Hansen, for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. Debbie’s brothers and sisters wish to express their sincerest gratitude to all her care-givers, friends, and LDS ward members who ministered to her and on her mortal journey.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, James and Judith Muir, and brother: David Muir.
Debbie is survived by her two daughters; her brothers: Brian Muir, Brad Muir, Scott Muir, John Muir, and Josh Muir; and her sisters: Charlene Curzon, Lori Miller, Stephanie Jimenez, Jennifer Muir, and Jill Morley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021, at Rose Park Ward (1165 Azalea Dr.) The family will visit friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will follow at the Fielding Cemetery, 4600 S. Yellowstone Hwy. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation for Debra’s headstone.
