Deborah Kay Noel Fury held the hands of her husband and children, then quietly let go and took the hands of Jesus in the early evening of April 28, 2016. There was no battle with cancer; she had already won the victory many years before cancer entered her body.
She was born April 6, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Samuel and Dorothy (Embry) Noel. Through her childhood she moved to Indiana, Kansas, Texas, and finally California, where she met her husband to be, Ray Fury. They were married in 1969 in Arlington Virginia, while Ray was in the Army. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Matt and Sarah.
Debbie stayed home and raised and nurtured them until they were grown. They were later blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Madison, Bailey, and Noah. Ray and Debbie had 46 years of beautiful marriage and friendship.
While she was still able, Debbie loved to camp and hike in Idaho's peaceful mountains. After Ray's retirement she loved their road and train trips all across this country. Debbie was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Idaho Falls.
May her legacy be that she loved the Lord, her family, and all children and wished that all of us who are able would do our best to nurture and keep all children safe.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ray Fury of Idaho Falls; son, Matt Fury of Idaho Falls; daughter, Sarah (Jeremy) Johnson of Idaho Falls; brother, Butch (Cheryl) Noel of Leavenworth, KS; brother, Mike (Lynn) Noel of Truth or Consequences, NM; sister, Sheena Dame of Idaho Falls; grandchildren: Madison, Bailey, and Noah.
She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Merlene, father Sam Noel, and one brother, William Dzurick.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 270 North Placer Avenue in Idaho Falls with Reverend Susan E. Speir officiating.
