Deawn Bonnie Ball Marshall, 60, of Lone Pine, Idaho, passed away September 6, 2014, at her home. She was under the care of her family and Avalon Hospice.
Deawn was born October 21, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Arthur Irving Ball and Bonnie Mae Rapp Ball. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1972. She began her career life in fashion merchandising at Brookovers in Boise, Idaho, before working in the banking industry at Valley Bank in Idaho Falls. Deawn then gained employment with Argonne National Laboratory, where she enjoyed many years of service, beginning in finance and completing her career in procedures.
On September 22, 2002, she married the love of her life, Gary Marshall in Crown Point, Indiana. They enjoyed traveling the country in their fifth wheel, walking the mountains of Lone Pine and the beaches of Hawaii, attending Purdue University sporting events, and time with their grandchildren in Lone Pine. She was a lifetime member of the John Purdue Club supporting Purdue University Boilermaker student athletes. Deawn also enjoyed crafts, sewing, skiing, boating, camping, fishing, golfing, hiking, hunting, shooting, kayaking, motorcycles, four-wheelers, mountain biking, traveling, the ocean and spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, especially Theresa Werner and Esther Kannapel for their compassion, concern, and the expert care they provided in Deawn’s fight against breast cancer, giving her much additional quality time with her family.

son, Dustin (Amanda) of Blackfoot, ID,
and his children, Lori, Peyton, and Preston;
daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Ray of Idaho Falls, ID,
and her children, Cherokee, Kasey, Janai, Kaybrea, and Tori;
brother, Dan (Carol) Ball of Idaho Falls, ID,
sister, Diane (Mark) Schwartzenberger of Idaho Falls, ID,
brother, Doug (Liza) Ball of Ammon, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Denver.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., and private services will follow at Fielding Memorial Park.
