Dearold James Ferguson, 86, of the Ririe-Shelton area, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at his home. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. He was born June 19, 1925 in Milo, Idaho to Jesse Leo Ferguson and Ruby Luella Lords Ferguson. He grew up in the Milo area and attended Buck Elementary School and graduated from Ucon High School. On July 26, 1944, Dearold married Leatha Lavon Clark in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. They made their home in Shelton, where they raised their family of seven children. Dearold was a cattleman and a farmer. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many areas, including Scouting, Sunday School Superintendent, stake and ward missionary, and Temple Worker. Dearold enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and camping. Dearold’s survivors include: Wife: Leatha Lavon Ferguson of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Darold Kym (Anne) Ferguson of Ririe, ID; Daughter: Judy Lyn Hall of Boise, ID; Son: Micheal Vaun (Connie) Ferguson of Ririe, ID; Daughter: Peggy Sue (Rick) Linville of Missoula, MT; 15 Grandchildren; 16 Great grandchildren; Brother: Veron D. (Margaret) Ferguson of Ten Strike, MN; and his Sister: Arla (Milton) Gardner of British Columbia, Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Lyle J. Ferguson, Charles Mark Ferguson, and Jesse Waid Ferguson; a brother, Merle Ferguson; sisters Arthella Gardner and Renae Ferguson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2012, at the Ririe LDS Stake Center (14061 North 130 East) with Bishop Jeff Sutton of the Shelton Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.

Monday February 13, 2012 , 11:00 a.m. at Ririe LDS Stake Center
