Deanna Davis Reed, 67, of Iona, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Deanna was born July 22, 1945, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Thomas Lester Davis and Sylvia Merle Stallings Davis. She grew up in the Iona area and graduated from Bonneville High School.
On April 2, 1964, Deanna married Charles Shannon Reed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Together they raised two children. After her marriage, she and Charles moved to multiple places, including, San Diego and Long Beach, California, Norfolk, Virginia, Washington state, Oregon, Texas, Twin Falls, and Ammon. Charles passed away May 25, 1997. She moved back to Iona 12 years ago.
Deanna was a mother and homemaker. She also worked as a beautician.
Deanna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed cake decorating, painting ceramics, camping, singing with the Madragolds, and being with her family.
Survivors include
Daughter: Shelie Ann Power of Iona, ID;
Son: Shannon Troy (KayAnn) Reed of Idaho Falls, ID;
3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and both of her brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the Iona LDS Stake Center, 7555 North 55 East, with Bishop Lynn Rockwood of the Iona 5th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be next to her husband in the Iona Cemetery.
