Click Here To View Memorial Video Dean R. Cook, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 31, 2014, at his home. He was born November 20, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Orville F. Cook and May Christina Ritchie Cook. He grew up in the area and attended Bonneville and Rigby High Schools. Following graduating he attended Rick’s College in Rexburg where he earned his Associate’s Degree. On January 15, 1971, he married Joan Hancock in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. Dean owned Roche Moving and Storage for 25 years. He was president of the Bonneville Youth Soccer League and pioneered the growth of soccer in Idaho Falls. He coached local club soccer for 25 years including 16 years at Idaho Falls High School. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous callings, including Elder’s Quorum President, Ward Clerk, Ward Executive Secretary, and teacher in the High Priest’s Quorum. Survivors are: Son: Ryan (Nicole) Cook, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Corey Cook, Salt Lake City, UT Daughter: Kira (Jonathan) Thornton, Dallas, TX Sister: Joan (Larry) Hawker, Jarbidge, NV Sister: Brenda Johnson, Idaho Falls, ID He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Chad; 3 brothers, Blain, Boyd, and Paul Cook; and a sister, Dolores Anderson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Idaho Falls Central Stake Center (2025 Jennie Lee Drive) with Bishop Randy Peterson, of the Idaho Falls LDS 11th Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m., both at the stake center. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Dean Cook Memorial Fund at Beehive Credit Union in Idaho Falls.
