Dayle Daniel

Dayle Wayne Daniel, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 26, 2018, at his home with his wife by his side. He was born May 21, 1940, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Homer Nolan Daniel and Dorothy Lillian Hobbs Daniel. He grew up in St. Anthony and Tacoma, Washington. He joined the National Guard and did his basic training in Texas.

He was blessed with three beautiful daughters, Stephanie, Dannette, and Sydney. He adored those girls and was very proud of them.

He worked with his dad and brother in the family business, Daniel Drywall, for many years. Towards the end of his career he branched out in the construction industry performing all types of carpentry working closely with dear friends.

He married Karen Harwood Russell on August 7, 1992, in Salmon, Idaho, on the 9th hole of the Salmon golf course.

He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, and dabbling in the kitchen. He especially enjoyed golfing with friends at Jefferson Hills Golf Course. He took great pleasure in living in the country and would sit out on the patio for hours, worrying about whether or not the yard and garden had enough water.

Dayle is survived by his wife Karen Daniel of Idaho Falls, ID; two daughters, Dannette Shobe of Twin Falls, ID; Sydney Cudaback of Bonanza, OR; four step daughters, Lori Russell of San Diego, CA; Mindy (Brad) Renfro of Idaho Falls, ID; Pam (Jeff) Bleyl of Pocatello, ID; and Wendy (Trevor) Thomas of Idaho Falls, ID; and two step sons Doug (Katie) Russell of Idaho Falls, ID; and Scott (Anna) Russell of Ucon, ID; and a sister, Pamela (Chris) Matey of Hailey, ID; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and 13 step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Stephanie Jo Daniel, and a brother, Gary Daniel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
