Dawn Streeper Summers, 89, of Ririe, passed away April 1, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Dawn was born December 8, 1927, in Rigby, Idaho, to Raymond Randall Streeper and Martha Leah Dutson Streeper. She grew up and attended schools in Ririe and graduated from Ririe High School. On December 2, 1947, she married William "Bill" Ernest Summers in Silver Bow, Montana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 20, 1995. To this union were born two daughters, Diane and Cynthia. Dawn and William made their home in Ririe, Idaho, where Dawn worked for Ferrell’s Clothing. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She loved to read and bake for her family. She loved her family and lived her life for them. Dawn is survived by her daughters, Diane Marie (Tim) Johnson of Rigby, ID, Cynthia Dawn Belk of Ririe, ID; sister, Barbara (Glen) Harmon of Idaho Falls; grandson, Jeffery (Wendy) Johnson; granddaughter, Desiree (Robert) Palmer; great-granddaughters, Brecca (Jessie) Skinner and Megan Johnson; great-grandsons, Jacob Belk, Logan Packer, and Jaxson Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; a child of silence; granddaughter, Teresa Packer; and brothers, Raymond Streeper Jr. and Garth D. Streeper. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Ririe LDS 3rd Ward, 285 2nd West, with Bishop Bert Brown officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
