Dawn Marie Ching

Dawn Marie Ching, beloved mother, wife, Gigi, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, passed away peacefully April 3, 2026.

Dawn was born in Napa Valley, California, on May 7, 1970.

She met her best friend and love of her life, Jaxon, in Napa and they married on January 2, 1993, which would lead to a future of 33 beautiful years of marriage, filled with growth and love.

After their first son, Nikki, was born, they made the move to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they would stay to establish and build their life together and have two more children. Dawn spent her life living for her family and raising her children and fur babies.

Dawn was known for her rambunctious, fun-loving personality, and most importantly, her unforgettable humor. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for WHO she was-–a strong, one-of-a-kind soul with the biggest heart, and she made room in that beautiful heart of hers for everything and everyone.

Dawn devoted her life to her family, her children, her animals, and most importantly, her most prized possessions, her eight beautiful grandchildren. “Gigi” was her most precious title and who she cherished being most.

Dawn leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and above all, her remarkable resilience. She left this earth with a piece of our hearts and will be deeply missed. Dawn will live on as a light in all of us and any of those she has touched along her journey, until we are reunited again.

Dawn is survived by her loving husband, Jaxon Ching of Idaho Falls; sons, Nikki (Sadee) Ching of Idaho Falls, Tony Ching of Idaho Falls, Manny Geyer of Idaho Falls; daughter, Kylee (Stanley) Tharp of Idaho Falls; grandchildren, Miloh Geyer, Arlow Geyer, Ella Ching, Ivee Ching, Atlee Ching, Brookelyn Tharp, Addyson Tharp, and Kai Tharp; mother, Billie Sue Filutze; sister, Lynn (Brian, Marcus, Cameron) Campagna; brother, John Demaria IIII; and fur babies, Luna and Esther Ching.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for Dawn’s closest family and friends.
