David Albert Wyatt, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 29, 2015, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
David was born February 26, 1939, in Otsego, Michigan, to Leo Elmo Wyatt and Nina May Cookingham Wyatt. He grew up and attended schools in Otsego, Michigan. He earned his GED. He also attended the University of Wisconsin where he earned an Associate Degree. He served as a Private in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.
David married Sharon “June” Wyatt in Elkhart, Indiana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 18, 1986. To this union were born four children, Leo, Michael, Tonja, and Melissa. David and Sharon made their home in Otsego, where David worked as a power engineer for a paper mill. They have lived in Idaho Falls for the past 11 years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. David serves as a Scout Leader, Membership Ward Clerk, Ward Missionary, and a Home Teacher. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, and Order of the Eastern Star PM. He enjoyed art, music and woodworking.
David is survived by

daughter, Gretchen (William) Himmelein of Plainwell, MI;
daughter, Sivlene Rene Friedl of Kalamazoo, MI;
son, Leo Elmo Wyatt of Idaho Falls, ID;
son, Michael (Robbi) Wyatt of Rancho Cucamonga, CA;
daughter, Tonja (Jacob) Wood of Sugar City, ID;
sister, Sharon Wyatt of Dunnellon, FL;
15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Melissa Wyatt, sisters, Leona and Cynthia, and a brother, Robert.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at the Idaho Falls LDS Brentwood Ward, 2040 Brentwood Drive, with Bishop Grant Stone officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, followed by an Eastern Star Ceremony at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
