David Leigh Weise Jr.

David Leigh Weise Jr., 68, of Shelley, Idaho, passed away on December 7, 2023.

David was born on March 29, 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the second child of David Leigh Weise Sr. and Ardith Leona Lloyd Weise.

He grew up and attended school in Shelley. He was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. David married his high school sweetheart, Julie Ann Hackman, on August 17, 1974.

David is survived by his wife, Julie; daughter, Robin (David) Pruett of Puyallup, WA; son, Shane (Katie) Weise of Grantsville, UT; daughter, Shawna (Dan) Crumbly of Blackfoot, ID; grandchildren, Suede and Cyan Pruett, Koen and Joscelyn Weise, Coltin (KodyLee) Crumley, Ashley (Denton) Gull, Sara Crumley, Augustus Crumley; 2 great grandchildren; and sisters, Vicki Bird and Debra Weise.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, Stephen; and sister, Melissa Weise.

The family would especially like to thank Dr. Douglas Andersen, Dr. Steven Todd, and all the staff at Portneuf Cancer Center. We are so grateful to Gary, Vicki, Tosha, and Danny from Enhabit Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to our loved one.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Goshen Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, in Idaho Falls.
