David Weise, Sr

David Leigh Weise, Sr., 82, of Shelley, Idaho, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, due to complications from surgery. David was born March 7, 1934, to Christian Weise and Lillian Hales. He lived with his son and daughter-in-law until his passing. David married the love of his life, Ardith Leona Lloyd, on January 27, 1952, and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1965. David was a farmer until 1972, when the farm was sold and he went to work for Monroc, where he worked until he retired. He loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who held a special place his life. He loved to hunt and fish and especially loved gardening. David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he loved being a home teacher, and held various other jobs. David is survived by his children, Vicki Bird of Idaho Falls; David (Julie) Weise, of Shelley, ID; Debra Weise of Idaho Falls; and Melissa Weise of Post Falls, ID; three grandchildren, Robin (David) Pruett, Shane (Katie) Weise, and Shawna (Dan) Crumley; seven great grandchildren, Suede Pruett, Cyan Pruett, Koen Weise, Joscelyn Weise, Coltin Crumley, Ashley Crumley, and Sara Crumley. He was preceded in death by his wife, son, parents, brother, sister, and a son-in-law. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Goshen LDS Church, 792 North 1090 East. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Goshen Cemetery.
