David B. Shaw

David B. Shaw, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024.

David was born June 2, 1942, in North Ogden, Utah, to Harold Elijah Shaw and Evelyn Bradshaw Shaw. He grew up and attended schools in North Ogden and later earned his Bachelors Degree from Weber State College. David served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On August 13, 1965, David married Kayleen Goodey in Logan, Utah. David and Kayleen made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where David worked for 39 years as a hot cell supervisor at the Idaho National Laboratory until retirement.

David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings. He was a true outdoorsman that loved fishing, hunting, and motorcycle and ATV riding. He served many years in the scouting program. David was also an avid coin collector.

David is survived by his wife, Kayleen Shaw of Idaho Falls, ID, and son, Judd (Misty) Shaw of Idaho Falls, ID. He also has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Jena Nicole Shaw.

The family would like to thank Lincoln Court administrators, caretakers, staff, residents, and Eden Hospice for their love and care.

A gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Burial will be in the Clarkston Cemetery.
